From 2026 onwards, only one cSBO project per year will be supervised by an industrial advisory board within spearhead clusters and thematic initiatives such as MateriNex. To maximise the impact of the earmarked MateriNex funding on the materials innovation ecosystem, the MateriNex team has defined an overarching theme for 2026–2028: “Strategic and critical raw materials for circular and resilient material value chains.”
This webinar is intended for both knowledge partners and companies that have signed a Letter of Commitment for one of the CIGs.

The purpose of this webinar is twofold: to explain the chosen theme and the priority TRL 1–3 research topics, and to receive useful feedback from stakeholders.
The envisaged research scope includes:
- Secure supply: new sCRM sources and sustainable processing routes
- Circular value chains: re-use, repair, remanufacturing, and direct recycling of SCRM-rich products, supported by decarbonisation and digitalization.
