MateriNex cSBO Call 02.2026 (Budget 2026)

MateriNex is launching a cSBO call (budget 2026). Research Projects should align with the relevant MateriNex roadmap(s) and focus on the Call 02.2026 theme: “Strategic and Critical Raw Materials for Circular and Resilient Materials Value Chains.”

Timeline

  • Mandatory pre-application deadline using 4-pager, min. 3 LOIs and slide deck: 27 March 2026

  • Pitch session with industry experts jury : 2 April 2026

  • Feedback and GO/NO GO to proceed to full project proposal: 6 April 2026

  • Submission of selected full project proposal to VLAIO with a copy to MateriNex: deadline 19 June 2026

How to pre-apply?

Mandatory pre-application to MateriNex.

Email the completed 4-Pager, along with a copy of the signed LOIs and the slide deck, to projects [at] materinex.be.

  • Evaluated by CIG industry members who signed the LOC.
  • VLAIO acts as observer.

Feasibility studies (in preparation for ICON)

  • Feasibility studies can be submitted at any time.

Important consideration!

In an Industrial Advisory Board, members have no automatic rights to exploit the results. The implementer is the owner and subsequent transfer will be by non-discriminatory offer at prevailing market conditions.
